Eligibility
All registered full-time students as well as degree-seeking co-op students are eligible to enroll in Purdue’s student insurance.
Domestic students are not required to take the student insurance, but you are expected to have coverage outside of Purdue. Online only students are not eligible for student insurance.
All international students who are registered for classes, regardless of credit hours, visa status, or insurance policy type, are required to enroll in the University-sponsored medical insurance plan or to obtain an approved waiver of coverage by the enrollment/waiver deadline.

The new insurance carrier for 2022-2023 is UnitedHealthcare Student Resources.

The Spring 22-23 waiver deadline ended 02/01/2023 at 5:00 PM EST. The online waiver system can no longer accept new waiver requests.
